IGA appoints Alexander Richter as its new President

The International Geothermal Association (IGA) has recently held its Board Meeting in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, on October 31st 2016, and appointed Alexander Richter as its new President.

Alexander Richter has been Director on the Board of IGA for two consecutive terms and Director-at-Large on the Board of the Canadian Geothermal Energy Association (CanGEA).

He is founder and principal at ThinkGeoEnergy, leading website in news and research on geothermal energy. Before establishing ThinkGeoEnergy in 2008, he was a founding member of the first and only geothermal energy focused investment-banking team at Icelandic bank Glitnir (now Íslandsbanki).
