EGEC is delighted to announce that registration is now open for the Geothermal Power conference on 3 July at the Sofitel Brussels Europe!  This high-level event will be a unique experience featuring an inspiring, diverse programme complemented by networking sessions and social activities. These will provide participants with numerous opportunities to connect face-to-face with leading experts and foster vibrant discussions on the future of geothermal electricity, thermal storage and lithium.

With geothermal energy emerging as a reliable, resilient, and locally-sourced alternative to fossil fuels, this event is the key place to discuss its pivotal role in Europe’s decarbonisation journey.

Discover the Geosmart parallel session dedicated to the Belgian geothermal sector!

A parallel session dedicated to the Belgian geothermal sector will be organised at the Geothermal Power 2024 conference on 3 July 2024 from 1:45 to 3:45 pm CEST! This workshop will introduce Belgium’s geothermal stakeholders to the innovations developed in the framework of the Geosmart project and provide an update on the status and potential of the geothermal market in Belgium. 

Speakers will also discuss the possible impact of Thermocline storage in the Belgian context and complementary alternatives to increasing the flexibility and efficiency of geothermal applications. Finally, the results of the national consultation of key geothermal stakeholders conducted by the Geosmart project will be reported and discussed with the audience.

This workshop will provide the participants with valuable insights into market opportunities and innovative solutions driving the future of geothermal energy. This event aims to foster collaboration and knowledge exchange in the Belgium geothermal sector and beyond.
