The last edition of the “Meet the Members” webinar was a great success! This highly anticipated event took place on 23 October at 10:00 am CEST and offered participants a unique opportunity to connect with leading companies in the geothermal energy sector.

The “Meet the Members” webinar is designed to foster deeper connections within the geothermal community, providing a platform for EGEC members to share their expertise, insights, and recent advancements in their respective fields.

Attendees had the opportunity to get insights from a diverse group of speakers representing various sectors within the geothermal energy industry.

  • Metal One Uk Shinnosuke Yamaguchi, Managing Director. Metal one provides tubular connections. They developed recently a new product: GEOCONN, a Low-Cost High-Performance Connection. They supply theirs products for wells all over the world.
  • Swiss Geo EnergyEric Léoutre, Chief Operating Director. Swiss Geo Energy is a Swiss services private company with expertise in Seismic survey, Geophysics, Geology, Petrophysics, Hydrogeology, Surface engineering, and Commercial; but is also developing two projects in Switzerland: Eclépens and La Broye.
  • alfa8 Partners LLPVittorio Stefani, Chief of Staff and Head of Ventures. alfa8 is a family office leveraging more than a century of maritime heritage and a long track record in Venture and private equity to invest in the next-gen of maritime tech and energy transition leaders. In geothermal, they have already invested in several companies and projects such as  ZeroGeoerngy and TerraThermo to support Projekt THERMO, GA Drilling.
  • Rotaqua KftMaria Csecsei, Marketing and Business Support Manager. Rotaqua is a Hungarian drilling contractor, now owned by the Hungarian State. Their rig fleet is composed of 20+ modern rigs for geothermal drilling operations.
  • Fishbones ASJos Okkerman, Geothermal Business Development. Fishbones is a Norwegian company that provides effective (non-frac) reservoir stimulation for geothermal projects. Large of hollow titanium needles fitted with drill bits or jetting nozzles at the needle tip are drilled or jetted out simultaneously from each Fishbone sub into the reservoir rock.
  • Tomax UK and Middle EastAnson Bartlett, Regional Manager. Tomax, a Norwegian company, provides the Anti Stick-Slip Tool (AST) , a patented regulator that reduces disturbance and improves drilling efficiency. AST TECHNOLOGY aims at faster ROP, increased footage, and reduced equipment damage caused by the lack of energy available to generate vibrations.
