In order to create a link to the energy infrastructure of EU countries, the European Commission announced its plans to revise the regulatory framework for Trans-European Energy Infrastructure (TEN-E regulation) in its EU Green Deal. The TEN-E regulation identifies priority corridors and thematic areas of trans-European energy infrastructure and provides guidelines for the selection of Projects of Common Interest (PCIs).
