  • TIME: 10:00 - 12:00
  • LOCATION: Online

Announced on 14 July 2021, ‘Fit for 55’ is the European Commission’s plan to pursue the decarbonisation strategy and cut greenhouse-gas emissions by at least 55% in 2030 compared with 1990 levels. This ambitious target is part of the EU’s aim to become carbon-neutral by 2050. Thanks to this package, more emphasis has been given to the uptake of decentralised direct renewable heat sources and technologies, solar thermal, geothermal, biomass, and heat pumps and district heating and cooling.

Join us for the live webinar, “Conclusions on Fit for 55: renewable heating and cooling solutions” where we’ll be bringing together experts from the REDI4Heat Consortium to explore the impact of the legislative package on various renewable technologies. Expect to gain invaluable insights on the latest advancements and how they’ll shape the European energy landscape

This event is organised in the framework of the REDI4Heat EU project, funded under the LIFE Programme, that officially started in October 2022. The project will run for three years, and it will aim to accelerate the share of renewables for heating and cooling, by identifying national policy gaps thus proposing effective strategies.
