23 September 2022, Brussels, Belgium

From the 17th to the 21st of October 2022, the European geothermal sector will meet in Berlin (Berlin Congress Center) to discuss the latest developments and new perspectives in the geothermal sector. The result will be new, clear information about the status and trajectory of the sector.

Every three years, stakeholders from all parts of the geothermal sector whether academic, industrial, financial, policy-making, or societal come together for the European Geothermal congress.
The count down has started for EGC2022. It is  now less than one month until the start of the largest geothermal congress in Europe: the European Geothermal Congress 2022. The deadline to register is  getting closer; more than 600 people are already registered from more than 100 entities across Europe.

Why should geothermal stakeholders register to attend this congress? ‘The EGC 2022 offers vital opportunities to get informed and to network for accelerating deployment of geothermal energy throughout Europe and enable a geothermal decade.

‘’To answer the current energy crisis, we need to see more market developments in the geothermal sector. Geothermal is a unique source of energy supplying renewable power and heat, local security of energy supply and affordability. We expect to welcome around 800 participants there, it will be an unmissable event for anybody interested in the geothermal sector”, said Philippe Dumas, EGEC Secretary General.

“We are happy to be co-hosting the European Geothermal Congress, bringing together great scientific minds like those of our main institutional partner the GfZ, important politicians many of you will hear in the welcome ceremony and many more experts in the geothermal sector from all over the world. The time for geothermal is now and this event will be the starting point for its increased deployment in the years to come. Join us for this professional congress in the heart of Europe, Berlin,” André Deinhardt, CEO of German Geothermal Energy Association, adds.

Two kind of tickets, full pass and 1 day pass, and four different categories: EGEC or BVG members have a reduced rate, Academic/NGO/ Non-profit organization’s rate, Students’ rate and Standard ‘rate. Passes will also be sold onsite but at a higher price. The Organizing Committee recommends booking tickets as soon as possible since  the deadline is fast approaching, and we do not want anyone to miss  this opportunity.

Experience speaks louder than words; a series of quotes have been published on social media from participants from previous editions recommending the congress. Follow #EGC2022 to read more about geothermal experiences.
