EGEC inputs to the consultation on the European Strategy for Data

EGEC supports the European Commission’s proposal to create a Common European energy dataspace that will focus on the improvement of the interoperability in smart buildings and products.

In order to reinforce the provisions of the above-mentioned Strategy, EGEC highlighted the main challenges that need to be addressed:

• Ensuring transparent access to heat data
• Supporting standardisation and regulation of remote metering within the heat sector
• Establishing a European Geothermal Information Platform within Common European energy data space
