Just transition

Letter to the European Parliament on a fossil fuel-free Just Transition

PUBLISHED: September 14, 2020

EGEC, together with several European NGOs and Organisations sent an open letter to the Members of the European Parliament on the Just Transition Fund. The letter asked to exclude investments in fossil fuels – including fossil gas – from being financed by the Just Transition Fund and to support a just transition for all.

Joint Renewable Industry Call: Maintain climate-spending in the reduced Horizon Europe budget

PUBLISHED: August 28, 2020

EGEC, together with eight renewable associations, urged the European Commission to maintain the Horizon Europe budget for Cluster 5 (Climate, Energy and Mobility) and the climate-relevant parts of Cluster 4 (Digital, Industry and Space) at least at the levels outlined in the Commission’s original June 2018 proposal.
